Pernifer 2918 is equal to Kovar ally which is a nickel based alloy widely used due to its low thermal expansion coefficient and excellent welding performance. It is mainly composed of three elements: iron, nickel, and cobalt, with iron accounting for the majority, and nickel and cobalt accounting for 29% and 17%, respectively.

Kovar alloy is an alloy of nickel, cobalt, and iron, with nickel and cobalt as the main components and iron as an additive. When heated, Kovar alloy absorbs heat and expands, forming microscopic voids in the structure. These microscopic voids can increase conductivity while reducing magnetic permeability.
