Inconel 713C K418, K18, W.Nr. 2.4670 is a γ' phase precipitation strengthened nickel-based cast high temperature alloy. It has good creep strength, thermal fatigue performance and oxidation resistance below 900°C.

 

The alloy composition is relatively simple, does not contain cobalt, has a low density, and is usually used in the cast state. Hot isostatic pressing (HIP) treatment and subsequent heat treatment can improve plasticity and fatigue properties, and can also restore the structure and performance of parts that have degraded and reduced performance after long-term use. Long-term aging at 800°C will precipitate a small amount of σ phase, but it has no obvious effect on performance. This alloy is suitable for making turbine rotor blades, guide vanes and integral cast turbines and other high-temperature parts of gas turbines operating below 900°C.

Application fields

This alloy has been widely used as turbine blades, guide vanes and integrally cast turbines for aviation, land and offshore gas turbines working below 900°C. It is also widely used as turbocharger turbines and hot extrusion dies for diesel and gasoline engines. The long-term production and use of more than 1,000 tons of this alloy by more than a dozen manufacturers has proven that it has stable metallurgical quality and reliable performance. It is widely used as turbine blades and guide vanes for various aircraft engines. When this alloy is used for a long time under hot corrosion conditions, it must have a protective coating.
