Hastelloy C276 is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy that exhibits outstanding resistance to a wide range of chemical process environments, including those with high concentrations of chlorides, sulfates, and other aggressive chemicals. It is a member of the Hastelloy family of high-performance alloys commonly utilized for excellent corrosion resistance and durability in severe environments.
Tubes come in several types-seamless and welded-which are available in standard sizes or can be manufactured to specific requirements. There is also variation in the size and wall thickness depending upon the application.
Hastelloy is composed of elements such as Ni, Cr, Mo, Fe, Si, etc. It is Ni-Mo series, Ni-Cr-Mo series and Ni-Si series corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant alloys in nickel-based alloys. Its density 9.2g/cm, melting point 1330-1380℃, magnetic permeability ≤1.001 (℃, RT).

Features of Hastelloy C276 tube
1. Resistance to Corrosion: Hastelloy C276 tube offers outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and intergranular corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. It is particularly effective in such media as sea water and brine and in reducing acids, such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and hydrochloric acid.
2. Tensile Strength: When operating in or near high-temperature working conditions, Hastelloy C276 tubes exhibit good tensile strength.
3. Weldability: The Hastelloy C276 tubes are readily weldable by the following techniques: gas tungsten arc welding (TIG), gas metal arc welding (MIG). Heat treatment after welding is normally not required.
4. Temperature Range: Mechanical properties of Hastelloy C276 tube are retained over a wide temperature range, from cryogenic to 1900°F (1038°C).
5. Formability: Hastelloy C276 tube can be formed into various shapes for different uses, although it work-hardens rapidly, so that intermediate annealing may be required for complex shapes.
