How to choose the purity of aluminum sputtering target?
99.9%~99.99% (3N-4N): Suitable for general optical coating, packaging materials and other fields with low purity requirements.
≥99.999% (5N): Used in scenes requiring low resistivity and high uniformity such as semiconductors and high-end displays.
Note: The content of impurities (such as Fe, Si) needs to be controlled according to the specific process (for example, semiconductors require Fe<1ppm).
Why do we need alloy aluminum targets (such as Al-Si, Al-Cu)?
Al-Si (1%~2% Si): Prevent "spiking" in semiconductor wiring and improve thermal stability.
