Gr5 Titanium Sheet has the advantage of a very thin conductive oxide surface film, and a hard and smooth polished surface that limits the adhesion of foreign materials. The density of titanium is only 56% of that of steel, but its tensile strength is comparable to that of most alloy steels, its corrosion resistance is also comparable to that of platinum, and its processing effect is very good.

Gr5 Titanium Sheet include all the advantages of titanium and are very suitable for airframes, engines, heat exchangers, seawater desalination units, medical implants, ships or cryogenic containers, etc.

TiGr5 / Ti6AI4V / AMS4911 is the most widely used titanium alloy. It is characterized by good hot formability and weldability. It is also resistant to salt water, marine atmosphere and a variety of corrosive media temperatures below 300 ° C. Grade 5 titanium alloy is most likely to be accepted by the human body (medical industry).

The material Ti6Al4V is one of the most widely used titanium alloys. The grade 3.7164 is specified according to the AMS standard and is designed for use in aerospace. Through standards such as AMS 4928 for forged material, bar material, profiles as well as wires or AMS 4911 for strips and sheets, the material 3.7164 meets the high quality standards of the aerospace industry.

The Titanium Grade 5 variant designed for industrial use is standardised according to ASTM B248 for flat material or ASTM B348 for round material and then becomes material number 3.7165.

3.7165 is also used in medical technology, especially for surgical implants. For this area, the ASTM F136 standard sets strict requirements for the chemical composition and the mechanical values. As a result, Ti6Al4V is given the suffix "ELI" (Extra Low Interstitial) and the designation Grade 23 instead of Grade 5.
