Health hazards
It is also exposed to the fumes of titanium oxides during the mechanical treatment of titanium metal. The titanium tetrachloride used in the production process can cause people to suffer from chronic bronchitis, chronic hypertrophic rhinitis, and pharyngitis. Autonomic nervous system dysfunction, increased tendon reflexes, eyelid and hand tremors, and hyperhidrosis. Thermal burns are more difficult to heal in people who are exposed to a 10% titanium tetrachloride solution.
