The molybdenum-copper alloy formed after adding copper has the advantages of reduced material hardness, improved plasticity and processing performance, low gas content, good vacuum performance, high electrical conductivity and excellent high temperature resistance, and can be processed into parts with complex shapes. Molybdenum Copper Alloy Rod is mainly produced by molybdenum skeleton immersion method. First, molybdenum powder is pressed and molded, and sintered into a molybdenum skeleton with a certain porosity, and then copper is infiltrated and then machined together.

 

The high-performance Molybdenum Copper Alloy Rod produced by it is very suitable for use as electrodes for resistance welding, heat dissipation materials for power amplifiers, electronic packaging and heat sink materials, electrodes for EDM, non-magnetic materials and military high-temperature components. Molybdenum Copper Alloy Rod is commonly used in three grades of Mo80Cu20, Mo70Cu30 and Mo75Cu25, and rods with different diameter.

1. Gradient composition design: The gradient distribution of Mo content from the core (90%) to the surface (70%) is achieved through powder metallurgy technology, taking into account both strength and thermal conductivity.
2. High elastic modulus: The elastic modulus reaches 320GPa, suitable for high stiffness structural parts.
3. Thermal shock resistance: In a rapid hot and cold cycle from 500°C to room temperature, the thermal shock resistance parameters (ΔT·R⁻¹) are ≥2000°C·cm²/W.

Appications of material for Molybdenum Copper Alloy Rod

 

Molybdenum copper alloy rod is used for the transition section at the root of turbine blades, which can withstand high temperatures of 1200 ℃ and stresses of 800MPa.

 

The molybdenum copper alloy rod serves as the support structure for the polarizer target plate and can withstand a neutron irradiation flux of 10 MeV.

 

Molybdenum copper alloy rods are used as current leads for low-temperature superconducting coils, maintaining a conductivity of 90% IACS in the 4K temperature range.
