Titanium TIG Welded Wire

 

The TIG welding process, also known as tungsten gas shielded welding, belongs to non-(non) melting pole gas shielded welding. It uses the arc between the tungsten electrode and the workpiece to melt the metal to form a weld. Titanium is inherently a cryogenic material, actually welds at a lower temperature than stainless steel, and is a very sensitive material to oxygen, so it requires extensive argon blanketing to prevent oxidation.
