Products Description

Copper and nickel are adjacent to one another in the periodic system of elements, with atomic numbers 29 and 28 and atomic weights 63.54 and 68.71. These two elements are closely related and are completely miscible in both the liquid and solid state.

Copper-nickel (CuNi) sputtering target has important applications in the electronics industry. The targets produced by our company are silvery white and have a metallic luster. The copper content of copper-nickel alloys is usually between 60% and 90%. In the production of copper-nickel targets, we significantly improve its strength and corrosion resistance by adding nickel to pure copper materials

Our copper-nickel (CuNi) sputtering targets are made of copper and nickel fused in a certain ratio. This target has good corrosion resistance, excellent mechanical properties, welding performance, strength, etc. Copper-nickel alloy targets are widely used in semiconductor integrated circuits (VLSI), optical discs, flat-panel displays, and surface coatings of workpieces.

We provide a variety of commonly used ratios, such as Ni-10Cu wt%, Ni-20Cu wt%, Ni-30Cu wt%, etc. The different ratios will affect the material's physical properties such as thermoplasticity, strength and hardness. Please tell us your requirements such as size and chemical ratio, and we will produce the most suitable copper-nickel targets for you.

Method for preparing copper nickel alloy sputtering target

Melting and casting: Vacuum induction melting (VIM) or arc melting to produce homogeneous alloy ingots.

Powder metallurgy: Suitable for nanostructured or special composition targets, formed by ball milling, pressing and sintering.

Hot working: Hot rolling, hot extrusion or forging to improve density and mechanical properties.

Machining: Precision turning/grinding to the required size (such as round, rectangular), surface roughness ≤ 0.5μm.
