Products Description

Cobalt iron boron (CoFeB) alloy target is an alloy target which composed of three elements: iron (Fe), cobalt (Co) and boron (B). The common ratio is Co:Fe:B = 60:20:20 (atomic ratio), but the specific ratio can be adjusted according to the customer's application requirements. Cobalt Iron Boron target has high saturation magnetic induction intensity, low coercivity and good soft magnetic properties. It is widely used in magnetic recording, magnetic sensors, optical coating and electronics.

The density of Cobalt iron boron (CoFeB) alloy target is 7.8-8.2g/cm³, the curie temperature exceeds 800K, the saturation magnetization intensity reaches 1.0-1.5T, and it also has the characteristics of low magnetostriction coefficient (~10⁻⁶).

In terms of preparation process, vacuum induction melting combined with rapid cooling strip spinning technology is used to prepare amorphous thin strips, and then hot isostatic pressing (1000℃/150MPa) is used for densification. In order to maintain the amorphous characteristics, wire cutting precision machining is required, and the surface is polished to Ra<0.1μm. During sputtering deposition, the substrate temperature is required to be <100°C, the background vacuum is ≤5×10⁻⁷Torr, and the power density is controlled at 3-8W/cm² to prevent boron volatilization.
