Hastelloy C22 square plate
Hastelloy C22 square plate is a nickel-based high-temperature alloy square plate. It is made by precision rolling and heat treatment processes. It has excellent geometric precision, like flatness and right-angle cutting, and a smooth surface. The typical size range of Hastelloy C22 square plate is 5–50 mm in thickness and 500–2000 mm in length. It can be customized according to needs. It is mainly made of nickel (about 56%) and has added elements like chromium (22%), molybdenum (13%), and tungsten (3%). These form a strong and corrosion-resistant solid solution structure.
Hastelloy C22 square plate is widely used in harsh corrosive environments, such as chemical reactors, flue gas desulfurization systems, seawater desalination equipment, and pharmaceutical pipelines. Its excellent resistance to chlorides, strong acids, and high-temperature oxidation makes it a key material in petrochemical, environmental, and marine engineering. It performs very well in mixed acid and alternating oxidation-reduction conditions. It is much more reliable than ordinary stainless steel.

Excellent Corrosion Resistance
Hastelloy C22 square plate resists uniform corrosion, pitting, and crevice corrosion. It performs much better than 316L stainless steel in chloride and acidic media (such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and phosphoric acid).
It can resist oxidation up to 1093°C. This makes it suitable for high-temperature corrosive environments.
Multi-functional Adaptability
Hastelloy C22 square plate has both workability (weldability and cold formability) and mechanical strength (tensile strength ≥690 MPa). It supports the processing of complex structures.
Stability Advantage
The low carbon content (≤0.015%) of Hastelloy C22 square plate reduces precipitates in the heat-affected zone during welding. It has excellent resistance to sensitization during long-term use.
Applications of Hastelloy C22 square plate
In chemical equipment: Hastelloy C22 square plate is used for reactor linings and heat exchanger plates. It resists mixed acid environments (such as hydrogen bromide in PTA production).
In environmental protection: Hastelloy C22 square plate is used in flue gas desulfurization (FGD) system components. It withstands corrosion from wet sulfur dioxide containing chloride.
In marine engineering: Hastelloy C22 square plate is used for high-pressure pump and valve parts in seawater desalination devices. It prevents corrosion from salt spray and microorganisms.
