Hastelloy B2 polished bar is a nickel-molybdenum alloy (Ni-Mo series). It is designed to resist corrosion in reducing media, such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid. Its typical composition is about 65% nickel and 28% molybdenum. It also contains a small amount of iron and chromium. It is made into polished bars by cold rolling or hot rolling. Hastelloy B2 polished bar has a smooth surface finish and high dimensional accuracy. It is suitable for precision parts that have strict surface requirements.

The polished surface of Hastelloy B2 polished bar reduces pores and defects. It lowers the risk of corrosion and also improves appearance.

Hastelloy B2 polished bar can be shaped by welding and machining. But it is necessary to avoid the embrittlement tendency during heat treatment, such as the precipitation of sigma phase.
