Products Description
Molybdenum Copper Alloy Electrode is an excellent electrode material, combining all the excellent properties of molybdenum and copper, such as high temperature strength, good high temperature oxidation resistance, high hardness, corrosion resistance, impact resistance, reliable solder joints, strong electrical conductivity, thermal expansion Low adjustable coefficient (to avoid thermal stress damage as much as possible) .
As electrode are key components in electronic devices and metal processing equipment. Their electrical conductivity and processing efficiency often affect the operating efficiency and service life of the entire equipment. The commonly used metal materials are: tungsten, copper, iron, graphite and steel wait.
Features of Molybdenum Copper Alloy Electrode
1. Arc ablation and high melting point: The Molybdenum matrix is enduring to high temperatures, the copper phase liquefaction brings about "sweating and cooling" effect which occurs at the working temperature greater than 2000°C, and arc corrosion is strongly resisted.
2. Low contact resistance and anti-fusion welding: Less than 0.5mΩ is maintained as the contact resistance post silver plating on the surface and no bond of fusion welding occurs after breaking for 10 to the power 5 times.
3. Irradiation resistance and stability: It possesses reliable performance when subjected to gamma rays from a nuclear power source (10 to the power 8 Gy) and is applicable in environments with high radiation.

Applications of Molybdenum Copper Alloy Electrode
Electrodes made from copper molybdenum alloys are applied at the 126kV level, vacuum circuit breakers onward, to obtain faster arc quenching.
Molybdenum copoper alloy electrodes are used as Electrical Discharge Machining, or EDM, electrodes with the hard alloys contours surface roughness set at Ra ≤ 0.2u m.
Molybdenum copper alloy electrodes are utilized as the control rod drive mechanism parts under ionizing radiation due to their rigidity to strong radiation.
