Preparation process of BT14 Titanium Bar

• Melting: secondary vacuum consumable arc furnace (VAR) + electron beam cooling bed (EB-CHM) to eliminate high and low density inclusions.
• Forming: hot continuous rolling is used for Φ 200 mm and Φ 200-400 mm is used for 1100 °C multi-directional die forging → finishing rolling → 900 °C vacuum annealing, with grain size ASTM 7-9.
• Rapid hot piercing-rolling seamless process: the yield rate of traditional bar punching is increased by 15% and the cycle time is shortened by 30%.
