Hastelloy B2 straight weld wires
Hastelloy B2 straight weld wires are nickel-molybdenum alloy welding materials. They are designed for high-temperature and highly corrosive environments. They are suitable for both automated and manual welding processes. The wires are based on nickel (Ni) and use molybdenum (Mo) as the main alloy element (about 28%). Carbon (C) and iron (Fe) are strictly controlled to improve corrosion and heat resistance. The diameter of the straight wires is usually between 0.8mm and 3.2mm. The surface is smooth and free of oxidation to ensure a stable welding process.
Hastelloy B2 straight weld wires are mainly used in highly corrosive environments. These include chemical equipment (reactors, pipes), flue gas desulfurization devices, pharmaceutical equipment, and offshore platform parts. They have excellent resistance to hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid. They also have good high-temperature stability. This makes them the ideal welding material for reducing acid media and chloride environments. However, they should not be used in oxidative conditions.
