Molybdenum (Mo) heat shield is the core insulation component of high-temperature vacuum furnace, single crystal growth furnace, sintering furnace and other equipment. It uses the high melting point, low thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance of molybdenum to effectively reduce heat loss and improve temperature uniformity.

 

Molybdenum heat shielding parts with high density, exact dimensions, smooth surface, convenient-assembly and reasonable-design has great significance in improving the crystal-pulling. As the heat-shield parts in the sapphire growth furnace, the most decisive function of molybdenum heat shield (molybdenum reflection shield) is to prevent and reflect the heat. Molybdenum heat shields can also be used in other prevent heat needs occasions.

 

Molybdenum heat shields are mostly made from molybdenum sheets by welding and riveting, molybdenum rods, molybdenum nuts and molybdenum screws are also used to make molybdenum heat shields. We provide molybdenum heat shields per customer's drawing.

Typical structure and design

 

(1) Single-layer molybdenum heat shield
Application: Scenarios with low insulation requirements (such as vacuum annealing furnaces)
Material thickness: 0.5~3mm
Features: Low cost, but average heat reflection effect
(2) Multi-layer molybdenum sheet heat shield
Application: High-temperature furnaces (such as 1800℃ sintering furnaces, single crystal silicon furnaces)
Structure:
3~10 layers of molybdenum sheets (thickness 0.1~1mm/layer)
Layer spacing 5~20mm (optimizes heat reflection path)
Features: High insulation efficiency, but increased weight and cost
(3) Composite structure heat shield
Molybdenum + graphite: outer layer graphite (higher temperature resistance), inner layer molybdenum (anti-pollution)
Molybdenum + ceramic fiber: Improve the insulation effect in low temperature areas
