Tungsten heavy alloy, also known as high-density tungsten-based alloy, is a two-phase composite material composed of W-Ni-Fe or W-Ni-Cu, and sometimes metal binders such as cobalt, chromium, or molybdenum are added to improve strength and hardness. It is mainly to press high-purity mixed metal powder into fully dense and fully alloyed parts under high pressure at a temperature lower than half of the melting point of pure tungsten.
