Products Description
Tungsten-copper rods W75Cu25 and W70Cu30 is an alloy of tungsten and copper. Tungsten-copper alloy is made of fine tungsten and copper powder, which is refined by the process of isostatic molding, high temperature sintering of tungsten skeleton and copper dissolution through the first-class immersion sintering process.
W75Cu25 and W70Cu30 tungsten copper rods are widely used in EDM electrodes, high-voltage switch contacts, high-temperature molds, and resistance welding electrodes. With excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, high melting point, great strength, and low expansion coefficient, they perform well in high-temperature, high-voltage, and high-precision machining applications, meeting various industrial needs.
They are widely used in EDM electrodes, high-voltage switch contacts, high-temperature molds, and find applications in electronics, aerospace, and machinery industries.
Features
High melting point and strength: Tungsten-copper alloys can withstand high temperatures while staying strong. For example, W75Cu25 has a bending strength of 885 MPa, and W70Cu30 reaches 790 MPa. This means they won't easily break even in hot environments.
Good electrical and heat conductivity: While not as conductive as pure copper, these alloys still perform well. W75Cu25 has 38% IACS conductivity, and W70Cu30 reaches 42% IACS, making them suitable for many electrical applications.
Low thermal expansion: These alloys don't expand much when heated. W75Cu25 expands only 9.0×10⁻⁶ per degree, and W70Cu30 expands 10.3×10⁻⁶ per degree. This means they keep their shape well during temperature changes.
Wear and arc resistance: Both alloys resist wear and electrical sparks effectively. W75Cu25 is harder than 195 HB, while W70Cu30 exceeds 175 HB, making them durable under tough conditions.
Easy to machine: These materials can be easily cut and shaped into different forms, which makes them practical for various uses.
Applications
Electrode Material:
W75Cu25 and W70Cu30 tungsten-copper rods are commonly used for EDM (electrical discharge machining) electrodes. They offer fast erosion rates, low wear, and precise shaping, which helps improve machining accuracy and efficiency.
High-Voltage Switch Contacts:
In high-voltage switches, these tungsten-copper rods work well as contact points. Thanks to their high melting point, arc resistance, and good conductivity, they can handle high voltage and large currents reliably.
High-Temperature Mold Material:
Because of their heat resistance and stability, W75Cu25 and W70Cu30 are used in high-temperature molds, such as rocket nozzles and gas rudders. They can withstand extreme heat and mechanical stress.
Resistance Welding Electrodes:
With their hardness, high melting point, and anti-sticking properties, tungsten-copper alloys make excellent resistance welding electrodes. This ensures better welding quality and faster production.

FAQ
Are you a factory or manufacturer?
A: Yes, we are a factory but generally, we use our trading company to handle the business abroad. It will be convenient to receive the remittance and arrange the shipment.
What is the delivery method?
A: Generally, we send cargo by UPS, DHL or FedEx. Also, we can send by sea to seaport or by air to the closest airport.
Why is your product so cost-effective?
A: We cut out the middlemen in the end-to-end manufacturing process. Rather than obtaining semi-finished goods from other suppliers, we obtain our raw material of APT powder directly from its source.
Do you do spot quality inspection or full inspection?
A: 100% full inspection. Inspectors will check the finished product individually, to ensure they adhere to all parameters. All unqualified products are discarded.
How do you ensure your lead time?
A: We have an efficient Order Management System, from material preparation to machining, and finally to a full inspection. Every stage of production is strictly monitored and controlled to give you an accurate delivery time.
What is the MOQ of Tungsten Copper Rod W75Cu25 W70Cu30?
A: Depends on quantity, generally, no MOQ limit.
How to pay for it?
A: A bank transfer (T/T) will be acceptable.
What is the delivery time?
A: around 7-20 days which depends on the quantity and production.
What is kind of the package?
A: Generally, we use a carton case or plywood case with protective material inside to ensure the save of cargo
What is the lead time?
A: from order placed to cargo receiving will take around 10-25 days.
Which alloy has better conductivity, W75Cu25 or W70Cu30?
W70Cu30 (42% IACS) has slightly higher conductivity than W75Cu25 (38% IACS) because it contains more copper.
Are these alloys suitable for high-temperature environments?
