Description of Titanium Alloy Grade 7 Rod
Titanium Alloy Grade 7 Rod is made from titanium alloys, which are mainly used in the manufacture of metal products and equipment used in low-oxygen, low-pH, and high-temperature chloride environments, where the addition of palladium further improves the corrosion resistance of the alloy in various media.
Titanium Alloy Grade 7 Rod can be used in the extreme environment of high temperature, high pressure, and high speed, and can be widely used in nuclear energy, aerospace, medical devices, high-temperature processing, sports equipment, petrochemical, and Marine construction.
Due to its biocompatibility and corrosion resistance, Titanium Alloy Grade 7 Rod is suitable for joint replacement surgery and can be used to manufacture bone bonders and artificial joints for fracture repair and bone defect repair.
Due to its excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature stability, Titanium Alloy Grade 7 Rod can also be used to manufacture seals for reactors and piping systems, chemical equipment to reduce leakage accidents caused by media erosion.
Features of Titanium Alloy Grade 7 Rod
Tensile strength ≥ 345 MPa, elongation ≥ 20%, equivalent to Grade 2, but slightly lower plasticity (due to Pd strengthening).
Resistance to reducing acids: In non-oxidizing acids such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and phosphoric acid, the corrosion resistance is more than 10 times higher than that of pure titanium (Grade 2).
Resistance to crevice corrosion & pitting: The addition of palladium (Pd) significantly inhibits local corrosion caused by chloride ions (Cl⁻) (such as seawater and salt water environments).
High temperature corrosion resistance: Remains stable in acidic or alkaline media above 200°C.
Excellent welding performance: TIG, plasma welding, etc. can be used, and no annealing is required after welding.
