Hastelloy C-4 straight weld wires are a kind of nickel-based high-temperature alloy welding materials. They are designed for welding the same type of Hastelloy C-4 alloy (Ni-Cr-Mo, UNS N06455). The composition of Hastelloy C-4 straight weld wires has been optimized. For example, it has low carbon, no tungsten, and stable titanium is added. These changes greatly improve its ability to resist sensitization and thermal stability. It is suitable for harsh corrosive environments and high-temperature working conditions.

 

Hastelloy C-4 straight weld wires are in the shape of straight rods. The diameter is usually between 1.0 mm and 4.0 mm. This makes them easy to use for manual TIG welding or automated processes.

Features of Hastelloy C-4 straight weld wires

 

Excellent corrosion resistance: Hastelloy C-4 straight weld wires perform well in oxidizing and reducing acids (such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid) and halide media. They have excellent resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking (SCC).

Thermal stability: The low carbon design (≤0.015%) and titanium stabilizing elements of Hastelloy C-4 straight weld wires effectively prevent carbide precipitation in the heat-affected zone of welding. This avoids intergranular corrosion.

Process adaptability: The molten pool has good fluidity and the weld seam is formed evenly. The content of impurities (S, P) is very low, which reduces the risk of porosity and hot cracking.

Matchability: Hastelloy C-4 straight weld wires have high metallurgical compatibility with the base material. The strength, ductility and fatigue resistance of the weld seam are close to that of the base material.

Chemical equipment: Hastelloy C-4 straight weld wires are used for the welding and repair of sulfuric acid evaporators, hydrochloric acid reactors and flue gas desulfurization systems.

Environmental field: Hastelloy C-4 straight weld wires are used for the cladding of high-temperature corrosion-resistant parts in waste incinerators and nuclear fuel reprocessing devices.

Pharmaceutical industry: Hastelloy C-4 straight weld wires are used for the sealing welding of acid-resistant pipes in contact with high-purity drug production equipment.

Marine engineering: Hastelloy C-4 straight weld wires are used for the welding protection of seawater heat exchangers and the anti-corrosion layer of subsea pipelines.
