Aerospace Incoloy 926 fasteners

Aerospace Incoloy 926 fasteners are made of high-performance nickel-iron-chromium alloy (Incoloy 926, UNS N08926). They are designed for extreme aerospace environments. The fasteners add molybdenum (6.0-7.0%), copper (0.5-1.5%), and nitrogen (0.15-0.25%). This improves their corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. They also have excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking.

Aerospace Incoloy 926 fasteners are widely used in aircraft engines (combustion chambers, turbine casings), spacecraft structures (satellites, rocket load-bearing parts), marine aviation equipment (corrosion resistance for carrier-based aircraft), and fuel systems (resistance to sulfide corrosion). Their excellent high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and high strength make them the first choice for high-reliability fastening solutions in extreme environments.

Features of Aerospace Incoloy 926 fasteners

Excellent corrosion resistance: Aerospace Incoloy 926 fasteners perform well in high-temperature, high-pressure, acidic, or halide-containing environments (such as seawater and salt spray), far better than 316 stainless steel.

High-temperature stability: Aerospace Incoloy 926 fasteners can maintain strength from -200°C to +700°C. They are suitable for aircraft engines and high-temperature parts.

High strength and lightweight: They have a high yield strength (≥300 MPa) and long fatigue life. Also, their density is lower than that of nickel-based alloys, which reduces structural weight.

Processing optimization: Aerospace Incoloy 926 fasteners are treated by cold working or age hardening. This meets the strict requirements for tolerance and surface finish in aerospace.

Applications of Aerospace Incoloy 926 fasteners

Aircraft engines: Aerospace Incoloy 926 fasteners are used to fasten combustion chambers and turbine casings. They can withstand high-temperature gases and thermal cycling.

Spacecraft structures: Aerospace Incoloy 926 fasteners are used to connect load-bearing parts of satellites and rockets. They resist space oxidation and low-temperature embrittlement.

Marine aviation equipment: Aerospace Incoloy 926 fasteners are used for fasteners on carrier-based aircraft or at coastal airports. They fight against salt spray corrosion.

Fuel systems: Aerospace Incoloy 926 fasteners are used for flange and valve sealing in fuel lines. They prevent sulfide stress corrosion.
