Moly Disc is the most commonly used electronic device material made of molybdenum material by powder metallurgy process, which has the characteristics of a low thermal expansion coefficient similar to silicon, high quality processing performance, high melting point, excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, good heat dissipation and heat absorption function, low cost, and long service life.

 

Moly Discs can be made by powder metallurgy or hot isostatic pressing processes and are commonly used for cooling electronics in high-power and high-reliability semiconductors, silicon controlled rectifier diodes, contact materials in transistors and thyristors (GTO), and mounting materials for power semiconductor radiator bases in ICs, LSI, and hybrid circuits.

With a melting point as high as 2610°C, it can operate for extended periods in vacuum or inert environments at 1200-1800°C.

High-Temperature Strength Retention: Tensile strength >100 MPa at 1500°C (better than graphite or stainless steel).

The thermal expansion coefficient is 5.8×10⁻⁶/°C (similar to silicon and ceramics), reducing thermal stress cracking.

3. Corrosion Resistance
Resistant to molten metals (aluminum, copper, molten steel), molten glass, and acidic vapors.
