Products Description

Copper Tungsten combines the properties of both metals, resulting in a material that is heat-resistant, ablation-resistant, highly thermally and electrically conductive, and easy to machine. Parts are made from the CuW composite by pressing the tungsten particles into the desired shape, sintering the compacted part, then infiltrating with molten copper. Sheets, rods, and bars of the composite mixture are available as well.

We produce Copper Tungsten contacts according to the customer's drawings, shape as rod, bar, plate, block and copper tungsten alloy parts.Copper Tungsten Electrode for Walter, Vollmer Machine,Copper tungsten electrical contacts.

We offer: 65%W-35%Cu, 70%W-30%Cu, 75%W-25%Cu ,80%W-20%Cu material
Our standard: accordance with ASTM B702

Features

Excellent Arc Resistance: Tungsten has a high melting point and hardness, so it can resist arc erosion. This helps extend the contact's service life.

Good Conductivity and Thermal Conductivity: The addition of copper provides excellent electrical and thermal conductivity. This allows for quick heat dissipation and helps maintain stable performance.

Adjustable Properties: By changing the copper-tungsten ratio, the material's conductivity, hardness, and wear resistance can be optimized for different applications.

Anti-Welding Ability: Copper-tungsten contacts resist welding, preventing them from sticking together during frequent switching operations.

Corrosion Resistance: The material performs well in non-oxidizing environments, making it suitable for harsh conditions.

Applications

High-voltage switchgear: Copper-tungsten contacts are widely used in high-voltage circuit breakers, contactors, and relays. They can handle high-voltage and high-current switching.

Resistance welding and EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining): Due to their high conductivity and wear resistance, copper-tungsten contacts are also suitable for resistance welding electrodes and EDM electrodes.

Electric vehicles and renewable energy systems: In these emerging technologies, copper-tungsten contacts are being explored as potential electrical contact materials because of their high performance.

Other industrial applications: Copper-tungsten contacts are also used in metallurgy, aerospace, marine engineering, and medical equipment. They meet the demands for high reliability, stability, and long service life.

FAQ

Are you a factory or manufacturer?

A: Yes, we are a factory but generally, we use our trading company to handle the business abroad. It will be convenient to receive the remittance and arrange the shipment.

What is the delivery method?

A: Generally, we send cargo by UPS, DHL or FedEx. Also, we can send by sea to seaport or by air to the closest airport.

Why is your product so cost-effective?

A: We cut out the middlemen in the end-to-end manufacturing process. Rather than obtaining semi-finished goods from other suppliers, we obtain our raw material of APT powder directly from its source.

Do you do spot quality inspection or full inspection?

A: 100% full inspection. Inspectors will check the finished product individually, to ensure they adhere to all parameters. All unqualified products are discarded.

How do you ensure your lead time?

A: We have an efficient Order Management System, from material preparation to machining, and finally to a full inspection. Every stage of production is strictly monitored and controlled to give you an accurate delivery time.

What is the MOQ of Copper Tungsten Contacts?

A: Depends on quantity, generally, no MOQ limit.

How to pay for it?

A: A bank transfer (T/T) will be acceptable.

What is the delivery time?

A: around 7-20 days which depends on the quantity and production.

What is kind of the package?

A: Generally, we use a carton case or plywood case with protective material inside to ensure the save of cargo

What is the lead time?

A: from order placed to cargo receiving will take around 10-25 days.

What are copper-tungsten contacts used for?

Copper-tungsten contacts are mainly used in high-voltage switchgear (like circuit breakers and relays), resistance welding, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and emerging industries such as electric vehicles and renewable energy.

Why are copper and tungsten combined in these contacts?

Tungsten provides high melting point and hardness, while copper adds excellent electrical and thermal conductivity. Together, they create a durable material that resists wear, heat, and arc erosion.

How does the copper-tungsten ratio affect performance?

By adjusting the copper and tungsten ratio, manufacturers can balance conductivity, hardness, and wear resistance for different applications.

Are copper-tungsten contacts resistant to welding and corrosion?

Yes, they resist welding during frequent switching and perform well in non-oxidizing environments, making them reliable in harsh conditions.

Where else are copper-tungsten contacts used?

They are also applied in aerospace, marine engineering, medical devices, and other industries that require high durability and long service life.

Why are they suitable for electric vehicles and renewable energy?

These industries need high-performance electrical contacts that can handle frequent switching and extreme conditions, which copper-tungsten provides.
