1. What is the maximum operating temperature of a tungsten crucible?
The melting point of tungsten is 3422°C, but the actual operating temperature is usually controlled below 2000-3000°C. At high temperatures, tungsten may oxidize or grow grains, affecting its service life.

2. Can a tungsten crucible be used in air?
No. Tungsten will rapidly oxidize above 500°C to form WO₃ (tungsten trioxide), causing damage to the crucible. It must be used in a vacuum, hydrogen or inert gas (such as argon) environment.

3. What metals can a tungsten crucible be used to melt?
Suitable for high melting point metals, such as:

Titanium (Ti), Tantalum (Ta), Molybdenum (Mo), Zirconium (Zr)

Rare earth metals (such as lanthanum, neodymium)

Platinum group metals (such as platinum, rhodium)
But it is not suitable for melting aluminum, copper, iron, etc., because these metals may react with tungsten or corrode the crucible.

4. What is the difference between tungsten crucible and molybdenum crucible?

Selection Recommendations:

For temperatures >2000°C → Tungsten Crucible

For temperatures 1600-2000°C → Molybdenum Crucible

5. Can tungsten crucibles be customized?
Yes, customization is supported:

Dimensions (diameter, height, wall thickness)

Shape (cylindrical, conical, with lid, etc.)

Purity (99.95%, 99.99%, etc. high purity tungsten)

6. Are you a factory ?
Yes, we are factory but we generally use our trading company to handle the business abroad. It will be convenient to receive the remittance and arrange the shipment.

A: Depends on quantity, generally, no MOQ limit.
