Gr5 alloy is a medium strength alpha beta two-phase titanium alloy, containing 6% alpha stable element AI and 4% beta stable element V. This alloy has excellent comprehensive properties and has been widely used in the aerospace industry. Mainly used in the aviation industry to manufacture engine fans, compressor discs and blades, as well as important load-bearing components such as crossbeams, joints, and bulkheads in aircraft structures.
The main semi-finished products of Gr5 titanium alloy include bars, forgings, thick plates, thin plates, profiles, and wires. This alloy is mainly used in the annealed state and can also be strengthened to a certain extent through solid solution aging treatment, but the quenched section generally does not exceed 25mm.
This alloy has good process plasticity and superplasticity, suitable for various pressure forming. This alloy can also be welded and processed in various ways.
