GH5188 high-temperature alloy welding wire is a coil of shiny silver-gray metal. It looks similar to stainless steel wire, but feels heavier in the hand. It's specifically designed for welding parts subjected to prolonged high temperatures. We offer wire diameters ranging from 1.0 mm to 3.2 mm, and each roll weighs 10 or 15 kg, making it a substantial weight without being underwhelming. The roll's surface is clean, devoid of oil and dust, ensuring no feeding issues or gun jams, and is smooth during wire feeding. It is wound like a large sewing spool.

 

The wire is mainly nickel with roughly 20% chromium and 20% cobalt, with small amounts of tungsten and carbon. These elements work together to maintain rigidity at high temperatures. Each roll is sequentially manufactured, and before leaving the factory, tensile testing is performed to check flexibility and chemical composition for consistency across batches. The surface of the wire is bright, the arc is stable, with minimal spatter and a smooth, beautiful, silver-like weld seam. The welds can be lightly polished with a standard grinding wheel post-cooling without cracking.

Oxidation and Sulfur Corrosion Resistance: The value of cyclic oxidation weight gain is less than 0.5 mg/cm², which shows that a dense Cr₂O₃ protective film forms below 1100°C.

Excellent Thermal Fatigue Resistance: Compared to other alloys, this one has a low rate of crack growth under start-stop conditions, which expands service life by 30% compared to conventional nickel-based alloys.

Welding and Forming Friendly: Can be welded by TIG, MIG, and electron beam methods, and the strength of the joints may reach 90% of that of the base metal when welded with matching filler wire.
